The Greater Freeport Partnership is reigniting the wildly popular Partnership Cash program for the holiday season and you can’t afford to miss out. Holiday Partnership Cash will go on sale on November 20 just in time for the Mistletoe Walk shopping experience and can be spent at over 30 local merchants throughout Stephenson County.
As an extra incentive to spend your dollars locally, the Partnership is offering an additional 25 percent to all of your Partnership Cash purchases. For everyone $20 you spend, we will give you an additional $5. For example, if you buy $100 in Partnership Cash, we will give you $125 to be spent locally. This allows the consumer to save money with every purchase they make with local merchants this holiday season and for our local stores and restaurants to bring in more revenue during this difficult year. The Holiday Partnership Cash program will be available until all $25,000 in certificates have been claimed!
Partnership Cash will be on sale in-person only from the Greater Freeport Partnership office (27 W. Stephenson St, Freeport) Friday, November 20 from 8 am – 5 pm, Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm and Sunday Noon – 4 pm. Partnership Cash will go on sale online beginning on Monday, November 23 until we sell $25,000 in Partnership Cash vouchers.
To purchase Partnership Cash on or after November 23, visit greaterfreeport.com/partnershipcash. You can also visit this site to view the list of participating businesses in Stephenson County that are accepting Partnership Cash.
While we encourage our consumers to use their Partnership Cash as soon as possible to impact our local businesses, it also makes a great gift for those who are difficult to buy for. Merchants providing business and personal services, shoes, apparel, groceries and much more can all be purchased locally. And don’t forget about gift cards! Use Partnership Cash to purchase gift cards to your favorite restaurants and stores and you will be able to spend 25 percent more than your original purchase amount.
“We are very excited for the re-release of the Partnership Cash program for the holidays!” said Bill Clow, Business Engagement Director for the Greater Freeport Partnership. “Our promotion earlier this spring had consumers claiming $20,000 in Partnership Cash certificates in only 18 hours of sales. We hope the shoppers of Stephenson County and beyond are ready for a second round of savings and support of our local businesses.”
An earlier round of Partnership Cash incentives was launched in March 2020 with help by a grant from the Freeport Community Foundation. Over $16,000 of the $20,000 sold for that program has already been spent in our local businesses in less than eight months.
