Krape Park

Explore beautiful Krape Park, awarded “Outstanding Multi-use Facility” by the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association. Heavily wooded Krape Park features a picturesque waterfall that tumbles down from a high limestone bluff, an operating antique carousel, tennis courts, multi-use trails, sledding hills, cross country skiing trails, a baseball diamond, numerous picnic tables, a mini-golf course and a duck pond.

Little Cubs Field

Experience big league fun at Little Cubs Field! This faithful replica of Chicago’s famous Wrigley Field pays tribute to a great American team and the great American game. Notice the brick walls, model scoreboard, marquee and left field bleachers when you visit this miniature reproduction. Little Cubs Field opened in 2008 after the community came together to build a place “where grown-ups can be kids and kids can be grown-ups.” Reserve the field for your events on the website.

Read Park Sportsplex & Pool

Centrally located in Freeport, Read Park offers acres of recreational area and many activities to do. The park is home to the Read Park Family Aquatic Center, complete with a zero-depth swimming pool, water slides, spray features and sand volleyball area. Classic Cinemas Lindo Theatre

Run-A-Muc Acres Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate the season with this pumpkin patch offering pumpkins, gourds, mums, hay, clothing, cotton candy and other treats, and a scarecrow contest! Take pictures with their seasonal photo face-in-the-hole boards and “run-a-muc” in the corn maze daily from 1 PM to dusk.
