Spring is here!  Flowers are sprouting, birds are chirping.  Earth’s annual renewal is upon us.  And, after our long, harsh winter we all welcome the opportunity to be outside.  However, the melted snow has revealed that a clean-up is needed–in our own yards (or at least mine), around town and Downtown.

There are two wonderful opportunities to help-out in this effort, both on Saturday, April 20th.

The Downtown Clean-up: Saturday, April 20th, 11 am – 1 pm.  Volunteers meet at The Greater Freeport Partnership Offices, 27 W. Stephenson St. (corner of Stephenson and Van Buren St., across from Hilldale).  See link to Facebook event.

5th Annual Superhero Cleanup: Saturday, April 20th, 11 am.  Volunteers meet at Read Park (northwest shelter near the play park and fourplex).  See link to Facebook event.

Please remember to bring work gloves!

This is YOUR community, let’s all help to make it a beautiful place to live, work and play!
