Once, when I was stressing out about resolutions for the new year, a mentor told me, “If you live your best life, you don’t need New Year’s resolutions.” I think this is sound advice, both on a personal and a business level.
If you are operating your business in the best way you know how, the beginning of a new year is a good time for a check in and setting of some annual goals. However, you don’t need to plan to make wholesale changes or resolutions.
Sometimes, however, when you do that beginning of the year check in, you realize that you’re not yet “living your best life.” In those times, a business resolution or two might be worthwhile. If there ARE things you want to work on in 2020, please let us know. The Greater Freeport Partnership would like to help, either by connecting you to experts in the areas you are interested in or by bringing resources together (speakers, research, books and articles) on topics important to you. If a topic is important to you, chances are there are others who are interested in it too.
Whatever your situation, we wish you a happy and prosperous new year! We look forward to working with each member to help make your business more successful and Freeport and Stephenson County a great place to live, work and play!
