Exploring Global Opportunities: Highlights from the 2nd Annual International Business Forum
December 17, 2024 Billy George

On December 12, businesses from across Illinois gathered at Loves Park City Hall for Representative John M. Cabello’s 2nd Annual International Business Forum. This event provided an exceptional opportunity to expand horizons, develop new relationships, and explore untapped international markets.

The forum, held from 1 to 4 pm, featured honored dignitaries from Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, and Taiwan. These representatives were dedicated to strengthening international business partnerships and trade connections between northwest Illinois and global markets. Attendees gained invaluable insights into foreign markets, explored global business dynamics, and established connections to drive growth and innovation.

In today’s interconnected economy, exploring international markets is essential. Diversifying customer bases and forging global partnerships enhance resilience and create new opportunities for revenue. This forum provided attendees with the tools and networks to take that critical next step.

The Greater Freeport Partnership was proud to co-sponsor this event and serve as a conduit for our business community. As part of our mission, we connect local businesses to resources, partners, and opportunities that enable growth. The International Business Forum empowered participants to expand their reach and make meaningful connections that foster success.

This impactful event showcased the importance of positioning businesses on the global stage and building lasting relationships that benefit our region and beyond. Businesses left inspired and equipped to unlock the potential of international markets.
