COMMUNITY DETAILS

Founded in 1851 and settled primarily by people of German descent who were moving west from New York and Pennsylvania. Orangeville is now home to about 780 people, with 1,500 residing in the 61060 zip code.
Harry Hartzell, editor of the Orangeville Alert from 1900-1938, called Orangeville “The Best Little Town on Earth,” and the slogan stuck.
