Young Professionals NETWORKING

Young Professionals NETWORKING
April 8, 2022 Nicole

The first 2022 event for your Young Professionals Network (YPN) is happening on April 13th from 5-7 pm at Mort’s Bar and Grill. This social event is truly meant as an opportunity to get together with peers, relax, and reconnect with old friends or meet some new ones. There is a schedule for more YPN here.

Young Professionals Network is designed to offer a wide range of activities for people 45 and under. These activities include networking and social events, community projects (YPN maintains the welcome sign on Rte. 75), educational opportunities, and recreational activities. There is no fee to join YPN.

The Greater Freeport Partnership views programs like YPN and the Women’s Enrichment Network (WEN) as community growth and workforce retention programs. We know that people who feel more connected to their community and have heathy networks of friends and colleagues are more satisfied in their personal and professional lives. An article from Rasmussen University cites several benefits of networking for young professionals including making up for a lack of work experience, an opportunity to develop people skills, and the chance to create a lifelong support system.

We also want to remind you that opportunities like YPN and WEN are open to ALL members of your company. We encourage you to share information about YPN and WEN to your appropriate staff. They will appreciate your consideration!
